Eric Schlich’s first book, Quantum Convention (available November 2018, from the University of North Texas Press) is the winner of the 2018 Katherine Anne Porter Prize in Short Fiction, judged by Dolan Morgan. His stories have also been selected for prizes by writers T.C. Boyle, Roxane Gay, Helen Oyeyemi, and Justin Torres. His fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Fairy Tale Review, Crazyhorse, Gulf Coast, Mississippi Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Electric Literature, Redivider, River Styx, Nimrod, and New South, among other journals. He lives in Dunkirk, New York and teaches at SUNY Fredonia.
